Prof. Jamilur Reza Choudhury re-appointed as UAP VC

 

Eminent Educationist Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury has been re-appointed as Vice Chancellor of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) for the next four years.

The Chancellor, Hon'ble President Abdul Hamid, appointed Prof Choudhury on June 29, 2016 as the VC for the tenure of four years. Prof Choudhury has been serving the University as Vice Chancellor since May 02, 2012.

Prof Choudhury is a prominent educationist and a former Adviser to Caretaker Government of Bangladesh. He is a renowned Engineer, researcher and scientist.

He has received numerous accolades for his valuable contributions and achievements in education, infrastructure development, science, ICT policy formulation and research.

Prof Choudhury graduated from Engineering University Dhaka in 1963 and joined there as a lecturer in the department of Civil Engineering in the same year. Choudhury was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Engineering (Honoris Causa) by Manchester University on October 20, 2010 – the first person of Bangladeshi origin to receive this honor from a British University.
